Palin Angers Fox News Execs

October 29, 2028 — Sarah Palin returns to her Fox News show tonight, three weeks after being mauled by a rogue polar bear at the National Zoo in Washington, D.C.  But top executives at the Web TV network aren’t looking forward to her homecoming.

Prior to the Oct. 7 incident at the zoo, Fox executives, along with the producers of Palin’s live primetime show, The Palin Factor, had begun grumbling about the former politician’s growing tendency to go off script during the program.  The executives have been upset about her cordial treatment of liberal guests, such as Sen. Al Franken (D-Minn.) and actor/activist George Clooney.

“She had the nerve to actually compliment Caroline Kennedy’s wardrobe, and in September she laughed at one of Al Franken’s jokes,” said a producer who requested anonymity.  “This is Fox News. She’s not supposed to ever be nice to a Democrat. It’s in her contract.”  

Palin, 64, spent a week recovering at George Washington University Hospital and another two weeks resting at home, but said today she’s “rarin’ to get back on the air and talk about this great country.” 

Palin’s guest tonight will be Jolie’s wife, folk-singer Bitch.

“I’m real excited about this interview,” Palin said. “I’ve never talked to a real live lesbian before – other than shakin’ hands with Rachel Maddow at the Emmy Awards a few years ago.”

Tomorrow night, Palin will host Ohio Gov. Joe the Plumber. And on Friday her guest will be South Carolina Gov. Lauren Caitlin Upton, who shot to fame in the 2007 after her verbal fumbling at the Miss Teen USA Pageant. The two will discuss how their experiences as beauty pageant contestants prepared them for public service.  The segment will include subtitles.
