October 6, 2029—NASA today released the first images of the alien race heading toward Earth, and the beings appear to possess a remarkable resemblance to the talking gecko that Geico Car Insurance used to feature on its old television commercials.

First image of a Btjmghn
The space agency captured the image over the weekend during a visual transmission from the aliens, who say they come from a distant planet called Btjmgh. The extra-terrestrials are on track to reach Earth’s orbit within 10 days, NASA officials added.
The White House issued a statement today saying the images of the aliens should confirm that the beings are friendly chaps and mean Earthlings no harm.
“How could anything that looks so cute be a threat to humanity,” said White House press secretary Holly Wood. “The worst we can fear is that they’ll try to sell us some insurance.”
But national security experts warned the public to ignore such assurances.
“If the Btjmghns are anything like the gecko they resemble,” former Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff told FU, “they’ll literally annoy us to death.”
